Dr. Andrew Konen is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he graduated with honors. He received his medical degree from the Texas A&M College of Medicine with post-doctoral training at Baylor University Medical Center and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas in anesthesiology and pain management. Dr. Konen was accepted into the premier fellowship training program, directly after residency, at Texas Tech University Medical Center. In medical school he received the Bard Parker award for the most outstanding surgical student achieving the top percentile on standardized examination. During internship, he received the J. Billy Wood award for most outstanding intern. He was elected as chief resident by his peers during residency training and was chosen as a citizen of the month by KRLD radio station.

He founded Konen and Associates PA, pain management group in 1999. The group is recognized as one of the premier pain management practices in the country. Dr. Konen is recognized as one of the foremost experts in interventional pain management treatment options. He has developed new techniques and treatment strategies for chronic intractable headaches and has been recognized many years over as a D Magazine top physician in his specialty. He has also been selected by the consumer research Council of America as one of the top physicians in America by reports from his own patients. He has published many articles and developed new techniques especially in the area of headache management. He was the first to describe and publish an article regarding the reflex from the interaction between the trigeminal nerve and the sphenopalatine ganglion. Dr. Konen is the medical director for the Baylor Center for Pain Management. He is a clinical professor of pain management for Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine where he regularly teaches the medical students and residents at Baylor University Medical Center the current therapies and advances in pain management. He also serves as a hedge fund advisor for mid-cap biotech and research firms. He developed the first and only commercially available natural and herbal liquid pain relief supplement.
